These are some pictures of the Ground Control coilovers installed on my Eclipse, with KYB AGX adjustable shocks.

With the 8" Eibach springs that came in the package and installed at close to stock height, both fronts were rubbing against the sleeve (you can see the shaved threads at the top of the sleeve in the first couple of pictures). I called Ground Control and they blamed the installation, that the springs or sleeve were not seated right. Other people on the DSM list have also complained about the same problem.

The thing is, with the suspension fully unloaded, the springs are not under tension and can move freely up and down which I believe might cause them to land in an improper position even if they were originally "seated right". As a side note, the rubber seats were defective and split (they said they had a bad batch and replaced them free of charge).

The fix I found was to buy the upper mounts they sell that get you an extra inch or so of travel, so the spring now sits a lot higher on the sleeve to avoid rubbing. Of course, if I decided to lower the car I'd probably be back to square one.

A permanent fix suggested on the above list was to install HyperCoils helper springs which would keep the Eibachs in place and also solve the occasional rattling problem these coilovers have. However I didn't do it on account that it costs money, so I don't know if it would've worked or not.

Note: for 1G DSMs (91-94) there is a supposedly better coilover kit made by DSS.
